Wagga's Riverina Fresh has earned the right to milk the applause, after being named grand champion for its lactose-free product at The Australian Grand Dairy Awards.
An expert panel judged the collection of 100 per cent Australian-made milks - which have already been named the best in each state - on flavour, aroma, texture, body and appearance to find the nation's most legend-dairy.
The judges highlighted the Riverina Fresh milk's clean, creamy taste and exceptional freshness as reasons it stood out.
Riverina Fresh executive chairman Craig Shapiro said winning the award was a proud moment for the Wagga team and its dairy farmers.
"This is the ultimate accolade in the Australian dairy industry," Mr Shapiro said.
"[It] reflects our commitment to producing premium quality milk."
"Our Lactose Free Milk is a great example of how quality dairy and taste can go hand in hand."
The win for the 100-year-old business was made even more significant as it was the first lactose free milk to take the prize in the Australian Grand Dairy Awards' 27-year history.
Riverina Fresh Lactose Free was also awarded the prize for Champion Modified Milk.
"It is our farmers unwavering dedication and passion to producing high quality milk that makes this achievement possible, for which we are very grateful," Mr Shapiro said.
