Malinda Manning never expected her 40 years of work at Riverina Fresh would lead to a section of its Wagga headquarters being named in her honour.

Ms Manning has gathered items over the years, recording not only the company's history but the city's, and the collection's display was officially named the Manning Museum during a special celebration on Wednesday.

"I never expected anything like it; it was very exciting," she said.

"It has a lot of memories; we have a lot more, but it's a work in progress.

"Like history is, it's always changing, so we'll keep updating, and with all the products and photos, it's very exciting."

Riverina Fresh executive chairman Craig Shapiro said the museum - located in the reception area - didn't just record the history of Riverina Fresh, it was "part of the history of Wagga itself".

Mr Shapiro said Ms Manning's contribution to the company was an important achievement to celebrate.

"Today [Wednesday] was a celebration of an extraordinary milestone. It's not often you have employees who have worked for you for 40 years," he said.

Ms Manning said the secret behind her love for the job was the people she works with.

"I can't believe that 40 years is here," she said.

"When I started, I never envisaged that I would still be here [after that time], so I'm proud to be here, proud to work for Riverina Fresh, and to have all the memories and all the history.

"It all rolls around the people and the support of the people, and being happy to come to work every day, which you don't get much in a lot of jobs."

Riverina MP Michael McCormack and Wagga deputy mayor Georgie Davis were on hand to thank Ms Manning for her 40 years of service and Riverina Fresh for its contribution to the region.

Riverina Fresh also used the celebration as an opportunity to soft-launch its refreshed logo, which will now feature the company's establishment year of 1922.

"The refreshed logo, it really does remain true to our 103 years of heritage," Mr Shapiro said.

"We've updated our fonts, and the modern fonts reflect the next hundred years."
